Our History
The church began back in 1995. A group of people came together to plant a non-denominational church and called themselves Chagrin Valley Community Church. The first meetings took place in a hotel in Wickliffe. The church eventually met at Taft Elementary School in Eastlake before changing its name to Lake Ridge Church and moving into Regal Cinemas in 2003.
In the spring of 2008, the church moved again into a suite on Melinz Parkway in Eastlake, Ohio. God blessed the church with growth so that a second suite was secured in 2010.
In 2012, the elders of the church attended Harvest University in Chicago and decided to become an affiliate of Harvest Bible Fellowship. In 2015, we officially joined HBF and changed our name to Harvest Bible Chapel Cleveland Northeast. After just two years in HBF, the fellowship ended in 2017.
As a church, we returned to being independent of any organization or denomination, and we are grateful to the Lord Jesus for all that He has done in our church. He has brought us to a place of unity, and we are excited and filled with hope as we pursue all that God has for us in the future.
In 2020, we have had the privilege of acquiring a building from the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Willoughby Hills. As a church, our previous rent and building expenses were exceeding our income and we were asking God to provide a new home for us. When we had no way of accomplishing this move, God stepped in and took care of all the details! We are now settled into our new church home as Harvest Community Church!
